What We Sell is Customer Service

Frequent customers and fabric fans that spend time with us at Birdsong Quilting are sure to know that one of Shannon’s favorite mantras is “What we sell is customer service”. This isn’t a listing on our online shop, and you won’t find it by the bolt with our extensive fabric selection. So how do we do it? 

Let’s start with Birdsong's Lifetime Training Policy. When you purchase a machine or software from Birdsong, you are promised "lifetime training" and they deliver on this promise. We look forward to helping you on your creative journey and helping you expand on your current skill set. For this reason, we are the premier place to purchase your HandiQuilter machine!

Our team of employees are ready to provide personalized service and be empathetic listeners. We are quilters and crafters like you and understand the struggle to pull together a color palette and how you can’t stop thinking about that one particular fabric or quilt pattern. We have experienced bobbins running out, crooked warps, mismatched seams, and have much experience to draw upon and share with you. 

Convenience is a big factor in customer service! We have a standing weekly appointment to hop on Facebook Live, Wednesdays at 9:15am to share with you what is new and exciting in the shop. These short videos are also available on our YouTube channel; subscribe to us there to watch at your leisure! We insist on maintaining an open floor plan, fully accessible for all wheelchairs as well as able-bodied others. We are also the only building that has its own parking lot accessible from Main Street, making it easy to visit us in person. If you can’t visit us in person, our online shop is always available! We love that we can connect with you outside the geographic boundaries. 

We know there are a lot of fabric businesses out there and many shops sell sewing machines. The building in which our shop operates used to be a grocery store in the 1920s and for over 40 years it was a community furniture store. Today, Birdsong Quilting is proud to continue in a space with such strong community connections.
